Community West Church

The Generosity Project exists to be an unexpected movement of generosity to all people of West Richmond. The idea is simple: free Christmas trees to anyone and everyone, no strings attached. The festivities include live music, kids crafts and activities, holiday snacks and refreshments, and more!

What is the Generosity Project, and why do we do it?  The Generosity Project are annual events with NO strings attached.  We see The Generosity Project as a value, an ideal that we think differentiates our church from other churches.  In our “pay as you go world,” we think giving away something absolutely free of charge, helps make a place in people’s heart to receive God’s free gift in Jesus.

GENEROSITY IS GROWING!

Until this year the Generosity Project has found expression through our annual Christmas Tree Giveaway, and that event is scheduled again for this coming December.  However, new this year we added “The Great Pumpkin” Giveaway, to celebrate generosity during the Fall season. This event was a huge success!  We were able to give away 200 pumpkins and enjoyed hosting families carve or paint the pumpkins they took home.

We are so grateful to our Community Partner: Walgreens for supplying the candy we were able to give away!
