Community West Church

Liturgies are repetitive practices we all use to try to give life purpose and meaning. Normally we think of liturgies in sacred contexts, like what we do in weekly church services. However, liturgies include how we pattern our lives in everyday life, including a trip to the mall or repeatedly checking a news feed.

In this series we’re recognizing that our life liturgies form us. They shape who we are and who we’re becoming. What are our life liturgies? And how are they forming us? Are we satisfied with how they’re forming us, and who we are becoming? In particular, we will look at historic Christian practices and re-envision those practices for life today.

As a response to this series we ask people to develop a Rule of Life.  The video above is intended to share what a Rule of Life is and some guidance on how to begin developing a Rule of Life
