I’m New Here

Maybe it’s been a long time since you’ve been to church, or maybe you’re completely new to it.
Perhaps you’re interested in following Jesus, but you’re not sure what to do next.

Here’s all you need to know when you visit on Sunday.

Our services are currently held in The Steward School at 10:00 AM.  Navigating to the most convenient  parking is a little tricky.  At the intersection of Ryandale and Gayton take the turn toward The Steward School.  Drive just pass The Steward School and turn left into the first parking lot.  Look for the sandwich boards with our name on it to direct you toward the appropriate entrance.  If you have children, elementary aged or younger, feel free to utilize our Kids Ministry where a hands on and age appropriate lesson is offered.  Drop off is located at the table with a rolling white board.

Our worship service starts at 10:00 AM and lasts about 70 minutes.

During that time we hear teaching from God’s Word, pray together, and sing together. At Community West we are passionate about worshiping God in our modern context while also celebrating the rich, meaningful history of the church through liturgy and hymns. We think God meets us through both.

Jeans, business casual, a suit or a dress, wear what you feel is comfortable.  Our slogan is “Be Yourself” and we really mean that, because we believe God receives us just as we are – but he loves us too much to leave us that way.

Our church is all about friendship. After the service we have a time called “Take 10” where we take 10 minutes to relax, meet new people, and get to know each other over coffee and refreshments.

We love families at Community West. Community West Kids serves kids ages newborn to 5th grade, offering teaching and activities in a way that is both fun and engaging.

We love students! We believe students are integral parts of our church’s mission in West Richmond. Learn more about what types of events and programs we offer for students ages 6th – 12th grade!

The Sunday service is just one part of the life of our church. There are lots of ways to get connected.

Learn more about our mission, our beliefs, and our leaders by reading the “About” section.

Listen to a sermon before you visit or just to get some mid-week encouragement.

Look through the “Connect” section to learn more about ways to be known within the church.
