Community West Kids embraces families and teaches kids about God's love.
On Sunday mornings, our kids' ministry serves kids of ages ranging from toddlers all the way up to 5th grade in an energetic, creative environment. We partner with families and give kids a space where they are loved and cared for outside of the home.
Our goal is to create an environment that is fun and relevant for kids and is something they look forward to each week. Kids can check in at our kids' welcome table, then enter their very own space to learn and engage in an age-appropriate context. Teachers and volunteers lead in Bible storytelling, songs, prayers, and activities.
Our desire is that kids will:
ACTIVELY LEARN about Jesus and God’s story of love and redemption
ACTIVELY WORSHIP in an engaging and age-appropriate environment
ACTIVELY SERVE within the church and within the neighborhood, in order to model a lifestyle of generosity
Community West Church proactively maintains guidelines and practices for the safety of our children and youth.
- All ministry volunteers are safety-certified and background checked. Youth volunteers under age 18 are regularly trained in safety procedures. Directors maintain Red Cross First Aid and CPR certifications.
- A sign-in procedure is mandatory for parents/guardians; each child under our care at church functions is required to wear a name tag.
- Properly rated equipment is the standard in each of our children’s ministry spaces.
- Germ control and nut-free food protocols are adhered to in each children’s area.
