Holy Week Schedule

Holy Week is the most spiritually significant week of the year.  We hope you can join us!  For our Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services we will be joined by our Missional Affinity Group churches, Christ Presbyterian and St. Giles Presbyterian Churches.  We have warm friendships in these other churches, and it is always a joy to worship with our wider church community!

Maundy Thursday (March 28), 7 pm
St. Giles Presbyterian Church

You are invited to a simple soup and bread supper, 5:45-6:45pm, followed by the service focused on Christ’s teaching, “A new command I give you…as I have loved you, so you must love one another.”  There is no cost for the meal, and childcare is provided for infants through 2nd grade.

Good Friday Service (March 29), 7 pm
Community West Church

This service will feature artwork, songs, Bible readings and reflection as we focus on "the Seven Last Words of Christ."  This service will be deep, rich and reflective.  Childcare is provided for infants through 2nd grade.

Easter Sunday! (March 31), 9 am and 10:30 am!
Community West Church

The sanctuary and commons will be adorned with fresh flowers.  You are invited to bring flowers from your yard to "flower the cross!"  We will have artwork, bright music and singing, as we celebrate the event that changed everything, the resurrection of Jesus Christ!  Please invite a friend or neighbor to join us!

Be Yourself.

Have you ever had experiences of church where you felt everyone seemed to be on their best behavior?  Nobody seemed to struggle, or commit any real sins? Maybe after a while you gave up on church. It just didn’t seem like a place you could belong.

We’re convinced most people have the wrong idea about Jesus.  Most people assume Jesus said to people, “Change, and I’ll receive you,” when in actual fact, Jesus said to people, “I receive you, and if you follow me, you’ll change!”  As a result, sinners flocked to Jesus!  He never required a person to be a certain way before he received them.

We invite you to “Be Yourself” at Community West because we are convinced Jesus invites you to himself as you are, but he loves you too much to leave you that way.

Our Practices

Celebrate

We encourage everyone to make attendance at our Sunday Gathering a priority. We intend weekly worship to be biblically-based, uplifting, honest, participatory, multi-sensory and gospel-centered.

Connect

We encourage everyone to commit to a Home Group, designed to help you study Scripture, develop close friendships, and serve in your neighborhood and community in meaningful ways.

Contribute

We encourage everyone to serve on a Sunday volunteer team and to contribute financially as the Lord enables. We believe you can never be fully known in a community until you offer the gifts you have to give.
